Overview
DPIIT recognition gives you self-certification under nine labour and three environment laws, an 80 per cent rebate on patent filing fees, priority in government tenders with relaxed prior-experience norms, and eligibility to apply for the section 80-IAC three-year tax holiday.
The application is judged on whether your business is genuinely innovative or scalable. A weak write-up is the most common reason for rejection, so we draft the innovation note with you rather than asking you to paste in a pitch deck.

No. Recognition makes you eligible to apply for the section 80-IAC exemption, which is a separate application judged by an inter-ministerial board. Approval rates are low, and we tell you honestly whether you have a case.
02Can a proprietorship apply?
No. Only private limited companies, registered partnerships and LLPs are eligible.
